HVAV/Air Duct Cleaning

That if properly cleaned your heating/air conditioning system should only need to be cleaned once every five to seven years (residential). Your heating unit, blower motor and plenum areas are the most important areas to be cleaned.

If you are only having the air ducts cleaned in your home and not the entire system as mentioned above, you can not possibly improve the indoor air quality! Potentially the "duct cleaning" may make it worse by using equipment not strong enough to vacuum the disturbed dirt in the ductwork and by also not cleaning the whole system.

Don't be fooled by the ads you see for residential duct cleaning under $300.00 for the whole house. It is not possible to properly clean the ducts and system of an average residential home for this amount. There are national standards that should be followed. Ask the companies you are calling what standards they follow when cleaning. The only recognized standards are from the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA). Make sure they are cleaning the whole system or you may as well throw the money out the window. If you have any questions give us a call.
